The conch piercing takes place in the middle portion of your ear cartilage, making it probably the most customizable body piercing. It’s so called because that area of the cartilage resembles a conch shell. If you choose to get this piercing, you can either choose the inner conch piercing or the outer conch piercing. The inner conch is located in the lower cartilage and is usually decorated with a cartilage stud. The outer conch sits in the upper cartilage and often sports a large hoop around the edge of the ear. Want some ideas? Here they are!
Outer Conch Piercings
Outer conch piercings are super cute – this is usually a stud placed in the upper part. It may have various whimsy shapes, looks and rhinestones and it accents your ear in the best way possible – it looks really unusual and cute.

Inner Conch Piercings
An inner conch piercing is often a hoop, though you may go for a stud, too, but it may not be seen in the lower part of the ear. It can come with multiple lap piercings or with some helix ones to make your ear extra shiny. Enjoy!
