If you are looking for a job, an interview is your opportunity to make a good impression on your potential employer. Going to an interview and puzzling over what to wear? We have some ideas for you, guys, and I hope that they will be useful.
First of all, find out some information about the company and consider the job you are applying for. Reflect the job in your look: if it’s a law company, put on a classic suit, if you want to get a creative job, incorporate a bold color or some more casual clothes. You can also contact the company to find out what rules they have about clothes, it will help you a lot. Still in doubt? Choose something conservative and you won’t regret, classics is classics.
A suit is always a good choice for a man: navy, grey and black are basics that can be paired with various shirts and ties. To highlight the season try a tweed jacket or blazer, it’s classics and always looks good. You may go for ocher or rich brown shoes but be sure that they are clean and shiny.
Light grey jacket, navy trousers, crimson boots and a brown tie (would work as a fall office outfit too).
If you need something more casual, pay attention to cardigans with shirts and ties. You may also substitute the trousers for jeans if it’s allowed. A sweater instead of a cardigan is another good idea but it should look appropriate, without unnecessary details.
Black denim, a striped cream and navy cardigan and a navy checked tie (great early fall choice).
Black jeans, a tweed jacket, a navy cardigan and a shirt with a tie.
Be well groomed. Have a nice and clean facial cut. As for jewelry, a nice watch will suffice. Men shouldn’t wear earrings or piercings during interviews.
