Last week, or maybe it was the week before, I was inspired by a pretty photo of the back of a sweater closed with a bow on Pinterest and decided to share with you, because this is good way to restyle your old sweater. As you can see below, this sweater already had a cut-out back, making this project very simple. Cut your ribbon to the desired length. Cut one end on an angle for a pretty finish and the other straight across. Carefully singe both ends with a lighter to prevent fraying. Fold over your straight edge about an inch and pin it to the under side of your sweater with the folded side hidden under and the right side of the ribbon on top. Carefully edge in chain-stitch the ribbon and hide the thread within. It should look something like this – pretty and romantic.
